Finally, a sensical trade proposal
The Bush Administration today propoased eliminating all tariffs worldwide on industrial and consumer goods by 2015.
It’s about time. Tariffs, subsidies and other trade barriers cause price increases for consumers and distort capital flows from where they should go. The US
should set an example by repealing the steel tariffs and farm subsidies it enacted earlier this year.
