If a tree falls in my neighbors’ yard, will I hear it?

Apparently not. This morning around a quarter to one, the storms that were moving through decided to take out the spanish willow tree in Tom and Misha’s back yard.
Although one limb did manage to break their bedroom window, the tree fell pretty much perfectly to avoid major damage. A little more to the left, and it would have crushed their bedroom.
A little more to the right, and it would have crushed my guestroom…and Jerome in it!
