		<description>One hates to defend lawyers --that&#039;s their own job, one might argue -- but the odds are very good that they took the case on at least partial contingency, meaning that they might just as easily gotten squat. And considering the many (billable) hours spent preparing, deposing, etc. for the case, $1.3 million isn&#039;t all that much, especially split among the employees of a large firm.  Not everyone can be Walter Umphries, after all.</description>
