The installer scheduler, Terry, called me on Monday asking me to let him know when my package arrived, and we could then schedule the installation. Thebox from Direct Satellite arrived on time on Wednesday, so I called him up and he said he’d have a guy over in the morning, so I rearranged my clients so I could be there in the AM.
Terry called me Thursday confirming that I was number 3 on the list and that they’d be there in the AM. At 11 the installer, Jesus, called me and said they’d be there at 4pm. I told him that was unacceptable, since I had rearranged my schedule to meet them in the morning, and had clients in the afternoon. He said he’d get back with me. He never did. I called Terry to complain, he apologized, and we rescheduled for Friday at 5pm.
5pm comes and goes, no installer. 5:15, call his cell, get voice mail. 5:30, call Terry, get voice mail. 6pm, call installer, he answers, says he has been in an accident and is at his lawyers! Says he’ll call me back in two minutes. He doesn’t.
Saturday morning I call Terry, voice mail. I call Jesus, voice mail. I call the 800 number. They track down Terry, who is spending the weekend in Roma, TX (???), and says that he will come by personally to install on Monday.
So I guess you get what you pay for with free installation. I guess, since I haven’t gotten it yet.
