Ok, earlier I posted about the tree I put up that Libby had left behind. In the comments, David and Libby have been having a “mine’s better” contest. David has been yelling at me about not putting up the picture of his tree, so here it is, all 14′ of it:
It went up in a shower of 16,000 Black Cat firecrackers on New Year’s. Mine just got taken to the curb. Libby, pics?

…and it was GLORIOUS!
OMG it’s the tree that ate Sugarland! Run for your lives!
🙂
Alright, pics are on the way! David, it’s lovely…and tall…but I would say mine has “character” – much like Buell Court herself!
I’ve always been a proponent of the school that says tall trees should be kept very simply decorated, the height itself lending much to the elegance and beauty of the situation. A tall tree that has been heavily decorated and that isn’t standing either in Rockefeller Plaza or in front of the White House, bespeaks a tone that says, “Ha, ha, I’m shoving Christmas up your nose because I can!”
That and it’s a royal pain to laden those topmost boughs with ornaments.
