Keats wrote a poem,  <br \/>C. 1819, entitled <A HREF=\"http:\/\/www.bartleby.com\/126\/39.html\">The Eve of St. Agnes<\/A>, inspired by the <A HREF=\"http:\/\/academic.brooklyn.cuny.edu\/english\/melani\/cs6\/st_agnes.html#background\">superstition<\/A> that a girl<BR>would see her future husband in a dream if she did certain things this evening.<\/p>\n<p>Several interpretations are possible of this long narrative poem; I&#8217;m partial to the idea that<BR>The Eve of St. Agnes is about dreams overtaking reality, but, then again, I&#8217;m a dreamer.<BR>Full of wild and beautiful imagery, I like this poem.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>January 20th is the day before the feast day of St. Agnes.
