{"id":135,"date":"2004-01-27T15:47:56","date_gmt":"2004-01-27T21:47:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.joewhite.com\/?p=135"},"modified":"2004-01-27T15:47:56","modified_gmt":"2004-01-27T21:47:56","slug":"hail-poetry","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.joewhite.com\/ramble\/2004\/01\/hail-poetry\/","title":{"rendered":"Hail Poetry!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After the Pirates production meeting today, several of us were sitting around finishing up some stuff when I thought aloud it&#8217;d be cool to get a neat domain name for the group, since <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ruf.rice.edu\/~rlos\/\">http:\/\/www.ruf.rice.edu\/~rlos\/<\/a> doesn&#8217;t exactly trip off the tongue like one of Gilbert&#8217;s lyrics.  <a href=\"http:\/\/rlos.com\/\">rlos.com<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/rlos.org\/\">rlos.org<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/rlos.net\/\">rlos.net<\/a> were all taken, so we started brainstorming on a good alternative, and came up with <a href=\"http:\/\/hailpoetry.com\">hailpoetry.com<\/a>. <a href=\"http:\/\/godaddy.com\">GoDaddy<\/a> has a deal for $7.95 a year to register, so we got it set up for two years.
