In the past, I recall seeing horses stabled at Milam &#38; Gray and along Braeswood just inside the loop, and there used to be a &#8216;petting zoo&#8217; at the corner of Westheimer and Brazos.  Today, I still can hear rooster crowings coming from the other side of Taft and Gray if I manage to wake up early enough.  However, I was quite a bit taken aback when driving down Bissonnet the other day when I saw a chicken in the parking lot of the Raven Grill.<\/p>\n<p><IMG SRC=\"http:\/\/joewhite.com\/images\/chicken1.jpg\"> <IMG SRC=\"http:\/\/joewhite.com\/images\/chicken2.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>And not a Popeye&#8217;s in sight.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Although I know there is a city ordinance against it, I have often heard and seen livestock inside the Houston city limits.
