Ecto is a cool tool for publishing to a blog. Makes things very simple. Am testing it now, and if it delivers (as it looks like it will), I’ll definitely be sending in my shareware fee.

This article in the Mirror says that Churchill’s parrot, a female named Charlie, is still alive after 104 years, and still curses in the inflection that he taught it.
Heh.
Tonight is the first rehearsal for RLOS’s production of Pirates of Penzance. We are still short of basses. If you are interested, *please* call me 1t 713-522-0799.
David Cox, a fine gentleman I used to sing with at St. John the Divine, died this week. At the funeral this afternoon, the Rev. Hall mentioned that one of David’s favorite scriptures was Proverbs 3:5-6, which is the original source for the deTocqueville quote that I mentioned the other day.
Trust in the LORD with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will direct your paths.
I need to add that to my list. I need to work harder to follow that advice.
A very uplifting remembrance service. You’ll be missed, David, but you have gone on to bigger and better things.
I’ve been sick three times since the middle of October…sore throat now is harbinger of #4. Stress over lack of Pirates chorus members and scheduling probably contributed. Maybe I should refraind from letting Julius nuzzle me, since I am allergic to long-haired cats. Just a thought.
