Since then, the mountain has squeezed out about 102 million cubic yards of lava, more in 15 months than in the six years after the eruption.
That’s around 5300 times the size of Ayers Rock/Mount Uluru. When MSH exploded in 1980, it throw off about 3.2 billion cubic yards of material, or 168,000 times the volume of Ayers Rock.
