The other is from Topsy-Turvy, where Durward Lely (played by Kevin McKidd) says:
Running late, will post them to the quotes page later.

Stacey Frankle brought over her Gateway becuase it was refusing to play DVDs. I deleted and reinstalled the the software, and it seemed to be playing fine. But
when I plugged in some speakers to check the sound, got the most hideous staticky sound imagineable. Checked the speakers by hooking them up to my Mac: sounded
fine. Attached another set of speakers to her machine: sounded crappy. Switched PCI slots between sound card and ethernet card (which required reinstalling
drivers becuase WinME is too stupid to realize that nothing has been added, just swapped): still same awful sound. Her mom came online while working on it;
tried to convince her Stacey needed a Mac. Instead, she’s going to have to upgrade to XP (normally I wouldn’t use the term upgrade in describing a move to XP,
but a poke in the eye with a pointed stick is better than WinME) and possibly replace her sound card.
She takes it back, set it up in her room, and the DVD player freaks out again, but the sound is working. Ugh.
Greg Kahn badgered Melissa Maxwell into contributing to my blogsphere (I guess because he felt guilty because he hasn’t contributed in over a month). That
effort can be found here. My brother and I have yet another one; although I have yet to contribute to it, David’s first post is very good, indeed.
Mentioned to Mary Morrison that I was understudying Papageno this summer, and that while I did not wish ill for the guy I’m understudying, I did hope that he
might get a better offer that would let me have the opportunity to perform. Got this email from her today:
but I’ve finally gotten the DVD of the Mikado almost completed. Only thing left is to add the opening credits over the overture (heh), and can then start
duping. Only problem is that in iDVD, the recording rate is set, not VBR, so it has to be on two DVDs. Unless someone knows where I can use a copy of DVD
Studio Pro….
