Rep. Corbin sounds like he has a case of sour grapes gone to extreme.

HoustonChronicle.com – Legislator questions rejection of donation request:

State Rep. Corbin Van Arsdale questioned Tuesday whether an executive of Time Warner Cable had violated state bribery laws by rejecting the lawmaker’s request for a campaign contribution because of a vote he made on a specific telecommunications bill.

1) Rep. Corbin votes for SB21. 2) He then asks for money from a TW PAC. 3) They turn him down, saying b/c of his vote, they cannot support him “at this time.” 4) Rep. Corbin interprets this to mean that they will give him a donation if he were to change his vote on the reintroduced bill, and is therefore a bribe attempt.

???????

I know, that happens on a regular basis, but this caught my eye while reading my news feeds this morning:

Australia Outlaws “Grand Theft Auto” (AP)
Australian officials effectively banned the computer game “Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas” and ordered it removed from stores Friday because it contains hidden sex scenes that can be viewed with a special Internet download.

I guess they’ll be banning Internet Explorer and Safari next, since they can display pictures and videos of sex acts with certain Internet downloads. For that matter, email programs should be banned, too, since all manner of filth comes into peoples inboxes, some of it labeled SEXUALLY EXPLICIT thanks to US Federal legislation. Sheesh.
