I am very excited about the happenings in Lebanon (or the Lebanon, for those old-school types out there). Despite a government order banning protests and telling the military and police “to take all necessary steps to preserve security and order and prevent demonstrations and gatherings”, thousands of people have thronged to the center of Beirut, demanding the government resign and the Syrian army withdraw from the country.
I’m hoping we’re seeing yet another people’s revolution. The Czechs’ was Velvet, Georgians’ was Rose, Ukraines’ was Orange…I propose calling this the Cedar Revolution. (I’ve already submitted it to Fark).
Granted, it was only French toast, but it was tasty, and the fact that I actually had eggs in my house is further proof that the time is short. Repent, sinners!
