Got tons of food, water, and other beverages. Got a generator, and plenty of gasoline to run it. Got John’s parents (who are in France) house all secured. Got all the loose stuff picked up from in front of my garage. Got tape and wood screws (already had some plywood).

After nap, will trim some branches over the house.

Will remember to start taking pictures, too.

  1. Prayers ascending as we speak…so to speak.

The Larratts were with us last week. All safely installed in Ithica now, although the twins have figured out how to bust through the cardboard barricade at the foot of the staircase and get up to the second floor undetected. GFFL is getting some of his own back, it would appear 🙂

    Love ya–be safe!

  2. Prayers from here, too. I have to say, somewhat selfishly, that I’m glad
my family is together in Ithaca at this point. I cannot imagine how it
would feel for me alone up here to watch that thing roaring in, with
E and the boys still in Houston.

“Some of his own”, hmph! I’m buying leashes, I tell ya.

Egregious thanks to J&S for gallantly offering their home and putting up
with banging, screaming, smelling, and all-too-early wakeup calls for
    ten days.

  3. Got Rope? If there’s one thing that John Tran taught us, it’s that rope saves more lives in disasters than all other simple, inanimate objects. I’ve still got the rope he gave me in my trunk.
